About the role
Spintex Knights runs a 30-week community activation programme across the Spintex corridor every season — schools, local businesses, recreational spaces, and community institutions. This role owns that programme.
You will be the face of the Knights in the neighbourhood, building the sustained relationships that make us a permanent, visible community institution rather than just a basketball team that plays occasional games.
What you'll do
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the 30-week Spintex corridor activation calendar
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, businesses, NGOs, and local leaders
- Represent the club at community events and activations
- Coordinate with the Spintex Proud team to integrate business partners into community touchpoints
- Report on community engagement metrics and reach
- Coordinate volunteers and activation staff for events
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years experience in community engagement, NGO, CSR, or event management roles
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort representing an organisation publicly
- Based in or able to commute to Spintex reliably
- Self-managed and able to work with limited supervision on a long-term programme
- Genuine connection to and understanding of the Spintex corridor community
Nice to have
- Experience in sports or entertainment environments
- Existing relationships within the Spintex business or community ecosystem
- Ability to create basic content (photos, short videos) from activations
